Cabot Plastics has introduced Cabelec 4540, an LDPE‑based conductive compound for blown film applications. The compound has been formulated principally for manufacturing conductive bags for packaging electronic components. It includes additives which make the finished bags easy to open for packing and also improve sealing. Cabelec 4540 is based on carbon black, which does not migrate and provides per­manent conductive perform­ance. The special grade of carbon black used absorbs little moisture so it doesn't need to be dried before processing
