The biggest zinc producer in the former Soviet Union has appointed Credit Suisse to co-ordinate a listing on the London Stock Exchange, the Independent reported.

The Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant, which accounts for more than 60 pct of Russia's production of the metal and 2 pct of world production, has confirmed it is seeking a dual London and Moscow listing.

The paper said it is not yet clear how much money the Siberian conglomerate wants to raise of what proportion of the company will be floated.
